Winter Machine
suspicion.mp3
by Phano
For the past year or more I've been studying and working on making retro homebrew video games. My target machine is the Sega Master System for multiple reasons.

Music is an element that was intimidating me the most, but after a few video tutorials and hammering out a few tunes, I feel much more confident.

This piece is the first song I'm comfortable enough to share to the public. (however limited that public may be)

I have an idea for a game that is influenced by the style of the classic Castlevania games. Colorful and not at all scary. More of a Halloween game than a horror game.

Fantastic start. I was going to comment on changing the bassline up but then it already happened. (Changing to a different key, but say, a fifth (F -> C, A -> E etc etc), so the melody can transpose alongside it or stay the same.) Could try doing it more conventionally, so as to fit more traditional music schemes - having them change back and forth and so on. But for a basic creepy cave tune you've certainly got the right idea here!
