Remember playing the NES version of Paperboy? I sure do, and it was one of my favorite NES games, but it wasn't until years later, when I had a chance to play the arcade original that the music was WAY cut down, and even later still that I'd begin to think "I could've done better then they did!"
I was new to chiptunes, and was using a program called "FamiTracker," which had a much easier to use interface than NerdTracker, a much older tracker also made for making NES chiptunes. Although I did make a somewhat more arcade accurate conversion of the Paperboy theme, over time, I realized some mistakes I made that I could improve on. I hope I can revisit this sometime.
That was the version with an extended remix version of the theme. I think that was common on a lot of C64 games since the loading times where so long or something like that. I remember some of them being as long as 5 minutes.
