For what, he never said anything about mind control or the changeling scout being in control of the princesses, he just said that they were fawning over the scout. It's the Queen's fault for jumping to conclusions based upon wishful thinking and limited data.

Impossible for Chrysalis. To date she's just used different forms of attacks in order to establish total dictatorship over a largish population of equines, and she simply assumes she'll meet minimal resistance or that she'll just go in and that's it. Wrong: even if Celestia, or Luna, or another guard/soldier, gave orders to the guards/soldiers without a captain it'd be much more effective defence than Chrysalis can begin to imagine.
