The download is about 50 MB and is verified to work on Windows and Linux. It requires Java 6 or greater. The Windows .exe will download it for you if you don't already have it. It should also run on Mac, but you may have to jump through a couple of hurdles to bypass security.
Awesome demo, Oddwarg! Had a bit of trouble with the Gatling gun-toting enemies, but I managed to prevail. Loved the little dance Melinda does after you release her.
I think my only complaint about the demo is that the camera was a bit buggy and jerked around at the most inopportune times while trying to pan.
Anyway, stellar job on the game, Oddwarg. Keep up the fantastic work.

I made the clouds difficult to see on purpose, but maybe I took it a bit far. I can look into making them slightly more intelligible. As for the camera, I'd like to hear more about what's wrong with it. I know it jumps a little when you push the camera into a wall or the floor, because it does the collision checking in steps. Is the step size too big, or is there another problem?
I'm happy you enjoyed it. I made the clouds difficult to see on purpose, but maybe I took it a bit
Well, I spotted the one cloud with the sign on it just from checking out Sulphur's surroundings. My problem was when trying to fly up to the clouds to land on them. I would get the one with the sign on it in my sights them lose track of it due to the bloom effect.
As for the camera, is it supposed to zoom in to the point where you lose track of where Sulphur is? I was having that problem a lot when trying to pan to keep enemies on screen.

It's only supposed to zoom on its own when it's pushed into a wall or the ground so that it has to in order to not clip through the terrain. If necessary it will go into the main character, making you transparent.

I took the opportunity to play through the demo again after moving my mouse to a more stable surface. Was able to get through the entire demo with no problems. The camera cooperated as its suppose to and I even located the clouds while the bloom effect was on, with little hassle.
I think a lot of my problem with the camera was due to my mouse possibly. It tends to go a bit bonkers on me at times.
Anyway, I can't wait to see what the rest of the game is going to be like. The demo alone has gotten me psyched for the full release. ^_^
I noticed that while playing through the game. I took the opportunity to play through the demo agai
Camera problems are a recurring theme in third person games though, but I think I'm doing it about the same way as most modern games do. I can tell you the camera in the game was a lot worse before. And I reduced the brightness of the map a little bit in the latest version.

I'll take your word for it. I'm quite familiar with camera problems in third-person games, so I know what you're getting at.
Yeah, off topic question. What is Melinda saying after you release her? I'm assuming the text is Norwegian, but I could be wrong. I would use Google or Bing to translate it, but both sites have a real bad tendency of murdering the translation.

Seeing as the text is Norwegian Nynorsk, I couldn't have translated it even if I wanted to. Neither Google nor Bing recognizes Norwegian Nynorsk as a language.
Cool. Thanks for the link, I appreciate it. Seeing as the text is Norwegian Nynorsk, I couldn't hav
Haha, I see. It looks like you're playing without a mouse. I don't know what a good setup for that would be since you kind of need to be able to use the dash attack while operating both the movement and camera keys (flying). Maybe Ctrl? Something could probably be worked out using a numpad, but most laptops don't have that so idk.

I'll get used to the controls eventually lol, the Dash was a bit awkward to command given it's also the dodge button (you might have noticed during the mook battle scene), currently the mouse is set for camera view (since right hand on mouse and left hand on WASD/Z&X causes my coordination skills to go mush).
I'll probably make a fuller playthrough of it sometime and may make a public entry of it if you'll allow for it o:

Oh I would appreciate more videos about it even if it doesn't necessarily go that well. My point was just that you should try to find a mapping that doesn't force you to move your hands around a lot to use all the flight controls.
