Background/History
Phil was just an average individual, growing up with two loving parents. He noticed his love for birds early on, sometimes spending hours watching them, almost wishing he could have wings of his own. Outside of that interest, he was a big fan of football and would spend time watching the game with his father as well as tossing the pigskin around in the backyard.
The reason behind his love of birds became known when Phil turned eight and his parents took him to the local aviary to see a show. But something went awry; one of the eagles escaped from his trainer and landed on Phil, cutting his arm. It was this incident that caused Phil's first transformation into the bald eagle you know and love. His clothes were not prepared for this, so they were torn beyond repair, and Phil was so shocked that he blacked out. When he came to, people were standing around him, staring and some saying not-so-nice things.
At this point, his parents quickly took him home and revealed that he was born into a family of were-avians, bald eagles. From here they would teach him how to fly (through trial and error, Phil eventually took to the skies successfully) and other eagle behaviors, what they can and cannot eat, etc. And Phil was homeschooled for a few years, until he learned to control his transformations.
When Phil did start attending public school again, he quickly decided to join the football team, and was a standout. Promising to keep his grades up, he graduated with high honors and earned a scholarship to Penn State. Upon graduating from college with a degree in Telecommunications, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, and that's where you see him today.
