----

"Temeraire" Series of Naomi Novik is set into a alternate world where dragons live side-by-side with humans and are employed often in warfare. The series focus on a black dragon of Chinese origins during the Napoleonic Wars. I suggest it to every dragon fans, especially because after some books, there is also the POV of the dragon.

PS: For the ones who don't know the series and appreciate some rule34, Temeraire is also known for some hints and implied sexuality for dragons xD Including dragon masturbation (yep XD) and mating&breeding.

She's also given a rather enthusiastic reation to some of said R34.

I believe the image in question was this one

Oh yeah! I know the story very well, and  i think left a comment in the blog when at some point she re-uploaded Slate's pic (only a bit "cropped" for SFW people). The fun thing it's that she made a comment for the art stating that would likely be a "missing scene" between two books, BUT in the end she introduced that same mating in the book n°6 ("Tongue of Serpents"), the one i made a little parody over it in the second-to-last newest mini-comic i did xD  We can safely say it is a rare case when a rule34 prompted an author/original creator to not "skip" the scene haha. Even if it's not described in the book, but just hinted with a bit of humor (Temeraire truly commented in book that mating with Iskierka required some "igenuity" over her natural defense of back xd )

God those books were wonderful x3 I remember picking up the omnibus of the first 3 and reading it only to find all those little hidden sexual parts and being 'wtf!?' at the time x3

haha yeah xD I mean, I have a particular approach to this. I LOVE when a book that include animals or not-human protagonist also show some mature level of contents, telling and describing a bit of the sexual part of the protagonist' life. It's more... complete I think. While I loved books like Warriors, I was disappointed how that was censored (while it appears that kids can instead read of gruesome deaths).

I will upload more of Temeraire, including some pics triggered by the adult hints Xd  (IskierkaXTemeraire Xd)
