AJ, when that smoke clears, you had better run if it so much as messed up her mane. ESPECIALLY if it messed up her mane. If anime teaches us anything, it's that attacks that leave large clouds of smoke that obscures the target, nine out of ten times the target survives, unharmed, and probably a little irritated. Unless it's a look, but Rarity isnt even a boss level foe. She's player character.

Well, as far as AJ sees her. I'd laugh if she taps AJ on the shoulder, outlined in shadows with eyes gleaming with pure murderous intent. 'I think it's time you learn some manners, young lady'. Fade to next scene showing Applejack apologizing while AJ is on a hospital bed in traction.

Li'l AJ seems a little too caught up in herself and ego to think clearly. Rarity flat out did not want to fight, first running away, then simply defending herself. A fact she seems to have either forgotten or been completely oblivious to seeing as she's bragging aobut being underestimated.
