Unlike the characters' regular human forms, their Kaiju forms are several stories tall and capable of dealing a lot of damage to city property and eating the public who are bite-size to them. If they suffer too much damage they may shrink back to their normal human forms and be at risk of being prey to the other Kaiju. If they touch toxic waste in their normal form they can turn into their Kaiju form and if they eat people in their Kaiju form it will restore health and stop them from turning back into their normal form. Eating toxic waste when in Kaiju form will give you super powers. Maia gets laser eyes, which are capable of dealing damage from a distance by burning things, Rabbit gets wind breath which knocks down Kaiju and blows smaller things away and Astika gets a petrifying spell which can stun enemies or potential food. Whilst smashing the city you are graded by how much damage you do and the winner in these competitions is the highest scorer. To get the best score taking out the windows on all sides a single story will increase the chance of the building collapsing.
They are an all female cast as female social dynamics are often more complex than male. Between the city destroying sections of the game, the characters must battle social situations like boyfriends and broken promises and other matters of friendship between them whilst they try to get through school life. It's important to keep on the good side of potential Kaiju since you never know when you might be a bite-size snack to them and they may take the opportunity for revenge. Generally the girls are good friends of each other and look out for each other though they are prone to selfishness at times if they see something they want.
