Oh good, so I am not the only person who feared for Rainbow Dash's safety when she walked in on Pinkie Pie's psychotic tea party. I swear, I was like a black woman in a movie theater when I watched that. "Shi-, she gonna die! Oh, don't move away from the door! You better get out of there!" That was probably the funniest scene of the series. Too bad they couldn't do an epic battle at the end of it.

Or if you don't want to read it, can listen to a guy and his two friends read Cupcakes v2 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnaRvqqWVjA and just go to part 2 and 3 as needed.
If you are freaked out about gore and stuff, careful reading it since the story is prone to make you look at Pinkie pie much differently for at least a while. Also, Sorry if you don't care, I just have been listening/looking at too much cupcake related stuff lately and like to spread the "joy" that is cupcakes to those willing. =P
In the off chance you have yet to look into cupcakes... You can get all your cupcake needs here: ht
Indeed, maybe we should get to know each other then! 8D Though, I had to put a disclaimer, after all, I have read several times about how people where moments from killing themselves from reading cupcakes, either from depression or insanity. XD
I, myself, am a "grimdark" kinda person as well, that is why I listen to Cupcakes - The Musical! over and over and want an copy of it so i can listen to on repeat till I memorize it and can sing it perfectly to traumatize friends and other ponies. XD Right now, I am reading https://bitccloud.deviantart.com/art/Cupcakes-2-210509853
And then prolly Cupcakes 2 Fan Story also known as "Cupcakes 2: Silence of the Hares" over on the Equestria Daily I linked to already above, it's the 'follow up' of cupcakes, the one down below the line break. XD My friends all think me mad, for reading so much cupcakes, but you are welcome for all the links.
I just read all I linked you too finally, and some of them made me and a friend laugh hysterically, but so far, the Rocket to Insanity/Crash to Sanity stuff has made me sad and cry at one point on the Rocket to Insanity alternate unofficial ending.
Also, noticed there was more than one part to Crash to Sanity, so here is where you can find other 2
Yeah, It was sad, cause I know that feeling of losing ones sanity from sleep issues and worry about hurting those close to you. Though rarely is is bad enough that I have voices that tell me to kill friends. xP

It really is, it's one of the best shows in years and has the perfect build to enthrall the masses with actual intelligence better than 90% of what cartoon network has played for the past 5 to 10 years. xP

Cartoon Network went down the tubes after about 2004 or so. All except for the Eds.
Spongebob is, in my opinion, like a follow up to the style Animaniacs went for.
And FiM, despite being a really young child's show, is well written and really entertaining. And let's face it, what we adults have done to it through fandom acts is awesome. XD

I agree, i personally didn't like the Ed, Edd n Eddy, but I felt the show was trying far too hard to be edgy and funny, and could never get into it, more so when people where shouting tons of praises at me about it and trying to force me to watch it and in the end turn a show I don't personally like into something I started hating. xP
Spongebob is an interesting show, and ahs it's moments and has more 'adult' moments than most cartoons, which made it good, though few shows would be able to compare to early 90's cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life and Animaniacs, and sicne the 90's, programming went down as anal and generally fat ass irresponsible parents removed shows like Invader Zim and bawwed till they made the cookie monster the tofu monster cause they blamed the TV for making their children fatasses. XD Just like the fat people that have sued McDonalds for making them 'fat' despite, really, it's half genetics, half lifestyle that makes you the shape you are. xP
And that is the thing, Lauren Faust, original 'creator' of the show, being a feminist, saw the old shows for girls, overly pink, girly, no content what so ever, and sent the wrong message to girls if there was any sort of content. Shows for girls, tend to either be dull and mindless, characters without personality or any difference between them, and Lauren was sick of that, so instead made FiM how it is. She made a nice story, with tons of originality, good story plot, and humor, but sadly, she had to make the show for the HUB, which is run by Hasbro. So though she has a vast amount of freedom as the creator, she still is confined to a small area of limitations, which held her back as the show is literally one giant commercial for the toy line. XD
I agree, i personally didn't like the Ed, Edd n Eddy, but I felt the show was trying far too hard to
Yeah. If Hasbro was not involved I believe it would have been aimed at a slightly older audience. And therefor, the humor could probably have been edgier.

Yeah, or at least more freedom, and creativity. That is why she stepped down from the Executive Producer role to the one she has now. She was just so sick of the higher ups forcing her hand to settle for less than she wants, since she had to make characters just to fit the toy sales. Like Applejack, the toy of her was dressed in all pink on the toy, but Lauren was a genius for making the show not overly pink, the only episode sickeningly cute to make most people want to vomit is the first 2 episodes. XD
But the moment you get to episodes like Party of One, things /really/ can be seen to have gotten faaar from that plot. xP

Party of one is an episode that shocked me. It shocked me that it got past the execs.
I'm so glad it did! I wish there were more episodes that weird. And it spawned SO many fan iterations of Pinkie.
Hasbro needs to realize that they actually make more money from bronies than from children. They really do! They should have let Faust take the reigns entirely.
Party of one is an episode that shocked me. It shocked me that it got past the execs. I'm so glad
Yeah, that episode is also the most voted to show to people to enthrall into ponies since it's so shocking and 'adult' seeming. XD
And yeah, cupcakes came before Party of One, and after it came out, soooo many people where freaked out since everyone was like "There is no way pinkie could be like that, she is too happy and bouncy!" Then her break down ended up shocking everyone, but made everyone that knew cupcakes cower in a corner. xP
And yeah, Hasbro does need to really listen to the fans more, but so far, doesn't seem it as Hasbro is a silly company that doesn't even know the name of the toys they sell. XD http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/06/verystrange-pony... but the contest/meme that spawned from it was both lulz and creepy. xP

Yeah, pinkie was great cause of that, and same, I love Dash, she is just so fun, if a bit caustic to her friends and seems to only care about winning over friendship often. xP
Yeah, she is pink, that pissed a lot of pony fans off. XD
Lulz, derplestia...
