Now what's the story behind this piece? Pretty simple. This is based from an RP with
I have this headcanon that the exposure to the Anarchy Beryl on Moebius really fucked with the way Chaos Energy flows through Scourge's body. It's a tangled mess inside of him, and the more he's exposed to makes it even messier, which is why it's so lethal. Even just the ambient energy around the planet was enough to wreak havoc with his energy.
This is why his body changes when he's on the Master Emerald. It's so messed up that, instead of going super, he gets a near color swap and just gets a bit stronger.
In the RP, Scourge ends up meeting the Sega!verse heroes after escaping the Destructix and Fiona, who decided to get rid of him after he decided trying to rule Moebius and Mobius wasn't worth going to the horrid jail in the No Zone (the scars on his wrists are from breaking off shackles his ex-teammates had him in).
Once he realizes he's not on Mobius like planned, he decides to make the most of it. He starts to bond with Knuckles, who helps him discover the hidden potential of his powers that is currently inaccessible due to his tangled energy. Scourge has a surprisingly potent connection to Gaia Power, allowing him to use Light and Darkness based Chaos Attacks as his primary strength.
came up with this concept based on my headcanon, which I fell in love with: over time, as his flow is corrected by the ambient Chaos Energy and he gets stronger, he'll undergo some slight physical changes, making the tips of his quills and ears, as well as his tail, turn black; in essence, his transformation will be complete.
His lack of an outfit is something that tends to happen, mostly when things are peaceful, as he's a bit shy about just going about in the nude, only doing so when he's alone or with Knuckles. Otherwise, he tends to have shoes on, which is useful if he needs to reach full speed.
