This character was brought up in few texts before, and now it's time to finally see what his problem is. The circumstances behind their separation has changed a bit, but the outcome is more or less the same.
Satoa's the only living son of Gren Sannon, the current Grand King of Grezivetian Empire and late-Grand Queen Elize, and imminent heir to the throne due to Gren's ailing health.
He's been inseparable from Mahin ever since childhood, and Mahin would have continued to serve the future king had the unfortunate murder of foreign ambassador never took place. The Grezivetian Court elected to throw Mahin under the bus, marking him as the assassin despite knowing full well that he had nothing to do with it.
Satoa was forced to accept the deal, realizing that the only alternatives were outright execution of Mahin, or an open conflict that would have certainly ruined the kingdom, which recently started to prosper after a violent civil war.
His first act as the Grand King Sannon IV of Grezivetian Empire was to officially sign the secret treaty that marked his closest friend as a traitor, purged his service record, and trade him into slavery at the hands of foreign state in return for continued peace.
