Trick weapon of the heretical hunter Stoneskin Stevonnie, but in the hands of any other hunter, simply a well made sword. It seems to glow at times with an unknown power, and a warmth as if it was alive.
An odd weapon seemingly carved from a single piece of solid stone. Intricately carved and incredibly well made, this weapon held as many trick forms as it did secrets. Aside from the enigmatic hunter herself, no other hunter could draw out the power of this blade. No mater how closely it was examined, none could find nor decipher the mechanisms within this weapon.
Some rivals speculated she actually had many similar weapons, and to these the only answer she gave was a wry smile.
*Strange Stone Shield*
Weighty shield of the heretical hunter Stoneskin Stevonnie, carved seemingly from a single, flawless piece of unknown stone. Seems to glow at times with an unknown power, and a warmth as if it was alive.
Intricately decorated and always at Stevonnies side, this shield can deliver devastating blows to enemies, but it true strength lies in it's powerful defensive potential against all types of attack.
Most hunters scoff at the use of shields against Beasts, but those same hunters quickly held their tongues at the sight of this shield's ability to draw upon energies of the Arcane, and the powerful bursts of energy it could release after. Even then, though, Stevonnie only wished to raise her shield to protect, as was her way.
*Worn Garb/Leg Wraps*
Garb/Leggings once worn by the heretical foreign hunter Stevonnie.
Stevonnie charged into battle without fear, often to protect those who could not fight for themselves. Her body, though, was resilient and stood against even the fiercest of beastly strikes with nary a scratch to show for it, earning her the nickname of Stoneskin.
The cloth, though, is thin and terribly worn, providing little better protection than nothing at all. Any others who would wear this into battle are either terribly confident, or dreadfully foolish.
*Frayed Grey Cap*
Hat worn by the enigmatic Stoneskin Stevonnie, gifted to her by a friend in times past.
Despite her being branded a heretic, Stevonnie's kind heart and selfless ways earned her many who would call her friend. Among them was a kind old hunter who gave her this hat as thanks for her aid in healing a fallen comrade.
*Rose Stone Badge*
Badge of the heretical Rose Thorn Workshop. A simple piece of rose-pink stone, but a symbol of their heroine.
Arriving in a flash of light from the sky, Stevonnie quickly gained the attention of the Healing Church, and just as quickly earned the brand of Heretic for her outspoken mistrust of both the Church and Blood Ministration itself. In spite of this, she worked tirelessly as a hunter in the name of protecting others. Word of her kind heart, selfless nature and incredible strength drew others to her, and her word of her strange healing powers elevated her to the level of a Saint in the eyes of her allies, though she openly decried such a title.
Those who sought to follow in her footsteps formed the Rose Thorn Workshop, named for the intricate decorations on her weapons. Like Stevonnie, those of the workshop used simple strength and elegant skill to protect others above all else, even those who held them in contempt.

So, guess what game I have now...

I feel like I would have been better prepared coming off DS2, where i was spells from one hand, sword in the other, rather than my sword and board style in DS3

I guess but like i said DS2 was the easiest of the three so you barely needed to parry. I found myself using parry A LOT in ds1 and 3, 1 especially, despite my liking for the DS style of magic
And yes handcannons are a thing in BB
