A map, showing the coordinates to the Kingdom of Eclipse.

If looked closely, you might be able to recognize some of the locations, such as the Crystal Kingdom at the top right, the Neighagra Falls right underneath it, Canterlot and Ponyville at the bottom right, and White Tail Woods at the bottom left.

The artifact was given to the Queen as a present from her mother, while the second half was given to her companion. In order to find the Kingdom, one must acquire both halves and channel magic directly into the object, revealing the exact location of the ancient kingdom. The artifact, or rather, the amulet, is also a key to awaken the forgotten Kingdom.
