I'm honestly getting tired of the people saying the tyke needs a beating. She's NOT doing wrong, people. She's right, it IS her job to cleanse corrupted creatures. It just so happens that this one creature is a bizarrly unique corrupted creature...

Eyeroll. Put yourself in her shoes. As far as shes concerned, there's no such thing as a 'good' corrupt creature. And even if there was, its STILL a creature that NEEDS cleansed of the evil that infects it. She has no reason to believe rarity, who I might add is effectively a zombie. Why wouldn't she do exactly what she's doing?

Are the 'corrupted creatures' Paladin Oak-For-Brains normally deals with capable of holding a conversation? 'Sides, this version of Equestria's benevolent royal court includes Princess Luna AND a reformed Nightmare Moon. Assault upon Taint Detection(R) alone is impolitic & rash as hell.

Here's an idea, use magic to lift Lil' AJ into the air, put the sword in the ground, and find Applejack. And, possibly, give the kid a Gibbs patented wake up call.

She's not. Rarity knows that she can't harm the child. Besides the fact they are AJ's descendant, she understands why they are doing what they are doing. It's just that she can't allow such and it makes her vulnerable.
Striking back would prove to the child in their mind that she's evil/corrupt it would likely call the other elements anyways.
What she doesn't know is how they find her so fast and she's tiring from avoiding the conflict.
Rushed, tired and panic aren't the same thing.

With the current elements all being very different in skills, manners and abilities, she might not be able to. With the bar so low she can't afford a mistake so fleeing is the better option. The kid seems to... lack quite a bit in humility. I rather hope his teacher stops all this. No clue what he has that earned him harmony

i think that the dark part of the bar is progress towards harmony. Check serene's i think alternates dawn's assistant Is named Serene origin to double check.

Double-checked Little Applejackass's duel with the Triple Fusion Beastie(R), and the bar's dark bit *does* represent harmonization progress. Which basically means Skunkstripe Squiggletail would have to sit there & let Applejunior whale on her like a tent peg to wind up Purified to Deth(C). Plus, Mini-Jack needed RD's kid to fuse with her weapon before shutting down the Combo-Critter; by itself that bokken's basically a glorified riot baton with built-in GPS feature. A less polite unicorn mage would've been playing the "Stop hitting yourself" game by now.

Poor Rarity; (I got a feeling later on someone is going to say something like "go out for exercise" and earn themselves a glare min. or a slap max.) Though now im curious if someone comes to rescue who would it be. Spike, Twighlight, or AJ herself
