Chani and Des kind of reminds me of Puzzle and Diamond from Kadath's comics. Puzzle is pretty ditzy (more clumsy) like Desmond and Chani always looks after Des, like Diamond.

I still love these characters so much, not just the uniqueness you've given the two races. I always look forward to seeing more of this comic, so keep it up. ^^

Kinda reminds me of me, I don't like onions yet I love onion rings...glad I'm not the only one who has that mental logic. Unfortunately for poor Chani, she may have to spell it out for him...unless she decides to make him guess

Yeah, I can relate to that. I have trouble eating raw apples (ate one when I was young with braces...) but I love things will apple in them. Especially apple and custard pie :)
