Character Sheet for Xiik
Character Description
Xiik is a powerful shaman and ambassador for her kobold village. She may be small, even for one of her kind, but her physical traits make her particularly desirable in her village- which is why she was appointed the village shaman. Xiik communes with spirits and mortals alike to help her village prosper and while she does have a love for her people, her royal upbringing has made her somewhat detached from the common kobold.
Personality
A kobold of privilege from birth, Xiik is proper and welcoming. If you respond in kind, she can be quite caring, generous and pleasant but if she feels you are crude or uncouth, her elitist nature will show through. For her, respect is key. She can either be a loyal ally or a very cold shoulder. She’s not one to hesitate to use her physicality to get her way or convince others.
Likes/Dislikes
Xiik appreciates formality and politeness in others and also has a love for jewelry and the process of acquiring it (also known as shopping). Like most kobolds, Xiik loves meat but her absolute favorite is wild boar. On the other side of that coin, Xiik hates mushrooms of all kinds and is also Lactose Intolerant so anything with milk or cream will make her quite ill. Xiik loves thoughtful gifts, even if they are of poor quality and knowing her people admire her brings her great joy. That said, she still doesn't quite get the common Kobold's way and some of their 'uncouth' behavior can leave her in the awkward position of appreciating a fan while also being completely disgusted by them.
Background/History
At an early age, Xiik was clearly a very desirable kobold among her people, showing rare traits like a slender torso and arms but thick, muscular legs, and a chest that slightly resembled the mammalian bosom. She was a clear choice to take the path of the priestess and even before she was of age, she began training under the cloth. She showed great promise with the spirits who all seemed to show quite an affinity for her and she for them and she quickly graduated from Priestess to High Priestess and then to Lead Shaman of her tribe. As the tribe grew and pressures from the outside world grew along with them, the chief tried to negotiate with the surrounding nations but all ended with terrible failure, some nearly ending his life. The chief was close to the end of his ropes, worried he might have to call for war when Xiik volunteered as the community's spiritual leader to try once more to win their favor. When the chief allowed it, Xiik took his place as ambassador and beckoned in a new, prosperous age, using her cunning, her wiles and her seductive features to win over their neighbors. However, as outside turmoil would never end and her tribe always growing, their will always be struggles with the outside world and the world beyond so Xiik's work is never done.
Relatives/Family
Within her tribe, parentage is not considered to be all that important and kobolds are not raised by their parents but by a communal nursery. Xiik has far more attachment to the caregivers than to her parents who were both killed in external struggles. Xiik herself has laid four eggs from various couplings and she visits them in the nursery from time to time.
Body
Standing at just 3′0, Xiik is a pretty petite little kobold. Her scale pattern shifts based on the seasons, transitioning from sandy with rust-colored spots in the summer to swampy with mud-colored spots in the winter. Being a reptile, she has no visible nipples.
Clothing
Xiik typically prefers light, whispy clothing made from fine materials. Draped silks with gold chains seem to be her favorites.
Accessories
She is often seen with large amounts of clunky jewelry. From amulets to anklets, bracelets to waistlets, Xiik loves to show off her status and wealth with gold and jems. She has a nostril piercing on her right nostril and typically keeps a golden ring in it.
