I just added two animals on it : the last two ones, a raccoon dog (tanuki) and a regular raccoon, so now you can have an idea how big a tanuki actually is c: So they are approx. the same height as a red fox, but they can be longuer (with the tail included) (3.1 ft - 4.4 ft ) than red foxes (2.4 ft - 4.75 ft ), although the biggest tanuki will be smaller than the biggest fox :P the range is just smaller for tanuki. They are also quite a bit bigger than regular raccoons, both in height and in lenght (1.9 ft to 3.4 ft for raccoons.) I don't own those pictures either xD The tanuki one is from the movie Pompoko (Ghibli) and the raccoon was found on Google image.
