This is a commission by [iconname]Yman[/iconname] of Charlie and Melanie together, enjoying their first afternoon out of school sharing a tender moment under the shade tree in some very special clothes. This is specifically from a scene in Chapter 10: "Summer's Freedom"
Charlie and Melanie looked forward to the end of school, especially after some very grueling exams given to them by the counselor per their dad's request. They were gifted students and their dad, Kendrick thought that they deserved to be challenge and proceed at their own pace. Despite the long odds their school would honor that, they took the tests together. During that week, the feelings the two kits had for each other grew...and it helped them make it through the exams.
After some daydream and a couple more days of school, Charlie and Melanie made it to their summer vacation. Since their dad was still at work, the two wanted to spend a few moments alone just to enjoy the freedom of summer. The two had very special shirts of their favorite characters hidden for each other. After taking care of their lunchtime needs, the two kits showed each other the shirts. Charlie had a cute blouse for Melanie with her favorite character, a princess kit from a children's show. Melanie had given Charlie a shirt with his favorite character, the knight kit from the same show. These characters had a special place in their heart as Melanie saw Charlie as her knight and for Charlie, Melanie was the princess who looked after the knight and taught things he could not learn on his quests. After dressing each other up, then went down to the backyard where they laid under the shade tree. It was a magical moment for the two as they felt the cool breeze over their fur...and the tender feelings the two were sharing together. In some ways, they didn't want it to end.
