Haru the Dryad doesn't take kindly to trespassers in her domain. She hates polluters, poachers, and robots most of all, so she DESPISES Robotnik, but she's no friend to the Freedom Fighters either. She dislikes them for trespassing and harming her forest, and worse, BRINGING harm to her forest.
Sally and Bunnie went a little too deep into the Great Forest, and made the mistake of having a fight with a buzzbomber that damaged a tree. Haru's vengeance was swift and furious. As we see, Haru has them trussed up in her vines, and is currently "teaching" them to respect nature a little more. When she decides to let them go, the squirrel and rabbit will see things her way... not that they have a choice.
