Backstory:
Anubis is the illegitimate son of Nephthys, (wife of Se, and Osiris. While growing up Osiris cared for him as his own. Later when Osiris was murdered by his brother, Set, Anubis embalmed his adopted father and mummified the corpse so he would not rot.

He is in charge of embalming and mummification , protecting the tombs, guiding the dead to the afterlife and judging the dead with the weight of Ma'at.
