I've been doing that ever since and you could also take a pic with your feet, whatever position, angles and shadows it may look. You could even use your long bedroom mirror, take a pic of yourself on whatever position, angles and shadow style that you like, whether above you or below or even set a timer of your digital camera ( iPod touch or iPhone is better because it makes you look at the position that you like to get a photo shot. I don't know if Androids will do the same. ) and again, viola. Better than having someone pose for you for your art. It improve my art a bit better.
