Mindy was once a ninja in the Shadowpaws that arrested by Starfleet, but instead of how she should of been punished via Militare Rank (pretty much it being the job of the caretakers of criminals of that rank to keep their asses red) she was punished as a Hard Cycle (a lighter sentence reserved for criminals of major crimes).
Her caretakers are Paladin Danny and Paladin Kashina and is believed to be a reincarnation of the legendary Penitatas, Virtuoso "Ponchocat" Maragold (whenever there is times where heroes are needed then the heroes of the past tends to reincarnate and the Order 100 War and the destruction of Penidise [pretty much Rederick destroyed Penidise when he killed the three heroes named Virtuoso, Blueberry, and Adolph].).
