Meal 35

"We're alive?" asked Glenn surprised as he found he was no worse for wear.  "How did that happen?  Did you use a card?"

"I thought it might have been you," answered Jokull.  "I was too terrified to even react."

"I'm the one who saved you two," said Tagmer, his body appearing as the smoke and dust cleared away.  Getting out of his defensive stance he turned to his friends.  "You did a great job making it this far, but leave this guy to us.  He's far stronger than anything we've faced yet and I have to get my payback."

"I didn't think I would encounter you so soon after my revival," said Cyrus.  "But seems you were capable of detecting my presence.  Or perhaps it was the fact that you sensed something was wrong with your friend that drove you to come here.  Well, am I right, Tagmer?"

"I'm plenty pissed at what you did to my friend and what you almost did to my other friends, but I've been itching for a good fight and this gives me a chance to get even too."

"You mortals allow such petty things to control your actions," sighed Cyrus.  "Can you not see what everything must be reset?"

"I don't really care about that stuff," admitted Tagmer.  "I'm just really pissed at you for what you've made me do and equally pissed at Killajor."  Turning to Killajor floating lazily in the sky overhead, Tagmer glared sternly.  "Weren't we supposed to be blocking this attack together?"

"You had more than sufficient body mass to endure the attack without me," he yawned.

"This really isn't the time to be acting so apathetic," snapped Tagmer.

"I'll get up when I'm needed," mumbled Kill.

"Whatever," groaned Tagmer.  "Let's just get started already, Cyrus."

"So you actually intend to fight me," spoke Cyrus.  "Rather pointless since you failed so pathetically last time.  Do you think you can fare any better now especially since I've returned to my full strength?"

"I'm stronger too," explained Tagmer.  "And even if I fail, which I won't, the next person will take off where I left off and even if you beat him there will be another and another.  We won't stop until you are defeated for good and the same goes for Obamon."

"So you are saying because you have so many allies I'll never truly be able to win?" asked Cyrus.

"That's right," answered Tagmer.  "But it won't have to come to that because I will take care of that and if Kill will get off his floating ass it'll be done much sooner."

"I agree I underestimated the strength of my opponents back then and further agree that fighting alone against so many is not a wise move either.  That is why I wanted to find you.  Not to destroy you, at least not yet."

"What are you going on abo..." Tagmer began to say before the words got stuck in his throat.  Falling to his knees and clenching his stomach, he began to cough and gag as his eyes teared up.

"Ewe," was all Killajor said as he watched Tagmer hurl a thick black goo onto the ground in front of him, one massive mouthful after another.

"What the hell did you do to me?" moaned Tagmer weakly as he continued to agonizingly spew until nothing else was coming out.

"I am not just limited by my desire to return everything back to one," he explained.  "I am also gifted with the ability to create and while I may be driven currently by the former, I can put that aside right now if it means gathering together some allies."

"Allies?" asked Tagmer confused.  "Wait, you can't mean..."  The black vomit began to move towards Cyrus and then it started to clump together into a massive ball.  Arms, legs, and a tail emerged out of it and took shape, becoming less blobby and more draconic.  Tagmer watched in horror as it took the shape of a black dragotaur all too familiar to him.  Finally the head appeared and took shape.  As the creature opened its maw, it let out a monstrous roar.  "Remgat!"

"Hello, Tagmer," hissed Remgat.  "It hasss been far too long sssince we last met face to face."

"I could have waited longer," groaned Tagmer still on the ground in pain from upchucking.  "So, how did it feel to be barf?"

"I'll show you after I devour you," answered Remgat licking his lips, drool oozing from his maw.

"Did you forget we're both half of the same being," asked Tagmer.  "If I die then so do you."

"If that were the cassse, but I now have my own life meaning I no longer have to share my existence with you," replied Remgat.  "And that means I no longer have to restrain myssself when fighting you."

"The same is true for me," stated Tagmer.  "If Cyrus thinks just you can help him turn overcome us, then he's sadly mistaken.  You were both beaten already."

"I know that," replied Cyrus.  "And Remgat is not the only one I have recruited to my side."

More of the black ooze on the ground began to take shape and form into two more figures beside Remgat.  Seeing the figures take on familiar forms, Tagmer's body trembled.  "Cyrus!  So this was your intention.  You wanted to recruit them, Morris and Van!"

"I'm afraid you are a little off," chuckled the one that seemed to resemble Morris, but his skunk colors were reversed.  "I am Darkfang."

"And I am Darkmane," growled the other one as he brandished his claws.  He was a lot bulkier and his fur longer and wilder.  His teeth were visible even with his maw closed and drool oozed from his maw.  "We are not the friends you remember."

"What did you do to them?" snapped Tagmer.  "What's happened to them?"

"If you want to blame someone, blame Remgat," retorted Cyrus.  "After he ate them they were marinating in his dark essence.  You can see the effect it had on them first hand.  Now they are Remgat's loyal underlings and Remgat is on my side meaning that I now have a powerful force on my side.  Do you still think you I am fighting on my own now?"

"Damn it," cursed Tagmer, trying to get to his feet.  "We first we had to contend with Obamon's forces and now you've brought your own team to battle us.  It's like we're back to where we started."

"The only difference this time is that you won't be so lucky," cackled Remgat.  "We're going to kill you now before you have the chance to recover."

"I need more time to recover," growled Tagmer still in too much pain to stand up.  "Kill, a little help."  Looking up at his aloof ally he roared with fury seeing him asleep.  "Kill!!!  You choose now to screw me over?!?"

"A pity," stated Remgat.  "Your ally is being utterly useless and those two look like they could use a breather, not that they could make a difference."

"Can't we do anything to help?" asked Glenn, his body trembling.

"I need a bit more time to recover," explained Jokull.  "And you look plenty winded too."

"How about a magical card?" he asked.  "Don't you have any more healing ones?"

"Just one, but I want to save it for an emergency," he explained.  "I know this seems like the time, but just call it a gut feeling."

"Seems those two are choosing to remain idle," laughed Remgat. "Guess that means it is you against all of us.  "Hopefully, you can at least be somewhat entertaining, Tagmer."

"Please allow us to take care of this," suggested Darkfang.  "We would not wish our master to sully his hands on a less than worthy opponent."

"As much as I would love to slay Tagmer with my own claws I think it would be even more satisfying to see the friends he values so much do so for the foe he opposes the most.  Go right ahead and try not to make it too painless."

"We don't intend to," Darkmane answered as he brandished his claws, a thick black aura emanated from them and black liquid dripped off of them.

"His pain will be the stuff your bedtime stories are made of, master," added Darkfang.  He held his hands out like he was wielding a bow and his dark aura took the shape of one.  Pulling back the string a black arrow appeared in place, ready to be fired.  "Think you can get him before I do?"

"Heh, if that's a challenge then I'm in," snickered Darkmane.  "Ready!  Set!  Go!"

Darkmane charged at Tagmer while Darkfang fired his black arrow.  Tagmer struggled to move, but his stomach ache was still stalling his movement.  "Damn it!" shouted Tagmer.

"Hyper Beam!" rang a pair of voices overhead and a pair of Hyper Beams shot down Darkmane and the Darkfang.  Tagmer was blasted back from the shockwave and tumbled about unable to do anything keep from ragdolling.

"Ow," he groaned.  "What happened?"

"Looks like more people showed up," answered Killajor.

"Oh, great," snapped Tagmer fuming as he stood up.  "Now you're awake."

"Hey you can move," Kill pointed out.

"No shit Sherlock!" snapped Tagmer.  "Putting my rage aside, who's here now?"

"We are!" announced Vic the Lugia sporting a much more obese frame than he had earlier.  Flying beside him was Ivy who looked to have plumped up equally as much.

"You guys got fat!" stated Jokull in awe.  "What did you guys eat and if possible can I have some?"

"After our battle with the Flying Spaghetti Monster we got trapped in the sauce and cheese of the pizza volcano.  Since it nullified our magic and powers the only choice we had was to eat our ways free.  That was about a couple hours ago."

"Then what were you two doing all this time since then?" asked Glenn curiously.

"Having seconds... and thirds... and fourths..." admitted Vic. "Hey, you'd guys have done the same."

"True," agreed Jokull.

"But then we felt these new intense powers showing up and had to stop," explained Ivy.  "Also, we were getting heartburn."

"And then you swooped in to save me at the last minute," concluded Tagmer.

"Uh, actually we just came here to fight these guys," admitted Vic.  "And those two looked the most vulnerable at the moment so we decided to pick them off first."

"Who's the most vulnerable?" asked Darkmane, walking out of the blast zone.  He looked very haggard from the direct attack, but his body began healing quickly till he was back to normal.  "The fact you so terribly underestimated us hurts more than your attacks did."

"So sad," laughed Darkfang recovering from his attack just as easily.  "We were allies not too long ago and now it seems we are enemies now."

"You're Morris," Vic stated.  "What happened to you?"

"I have grown more powerful," he laughed.  "Perhaps you'd like to see how much stronger.  Darkmane, I've changed my mind.  You can have Tagmer.  I want these two."

"Suit yourself," sighed Darkmane.  "Now where was I?"

"Hold on a minute," Remgat said.  "Looks like more of these pests are showing up."

"Looks like we weren't the first to arrive," sighed Rhodes.

"What did you expect?" commented Donavin.  "None of us can fly."

"It doesn't matter," said Vincent.  "Looks like they've only just started fighting."

"They just keep showing up one after another," stated Cyrus.  "All the easier it will be end this matter swiftly."

"Yeah," derped Logan as he was dragged by the tail by Bruce.  "We will be the swift ones to end this swiftly with swiftness."

"You promised I brought you along you wouldn't grate on my nerves," grumbled Bruce.

"Let's see now," counted Remgat.  "Looks like numbers are back in their favor again.  Oh, well.  We still have quality miles beyond them."

"Exactly," agreed Cyrus.  "This is of no consequence.  The end result will be the same.  Darkfang will take care of the two Lugia.  Darkmane take care of those three.  I'll handle these derpy dog things."

"Hey!" growled Bruce.  "Don't lump me in with this oaf!"

"Heheheh," snickered Logan.  "Lumpy loaf."

"And Remgat," continued Cyrus ignoring them.  "You take the rest."

"So I get clean up duty," Remgat hissed.  "Fine by me."

"Does that mean we got to fight him?" asked Glenn nervously.

"Don't worry," stated Tagmer.  "He's all mine.  I'm plenty pissed now so you probably want to stay out of this.  I wouldn't want you two to get hit in the crossfire."

"What about Kill?" asked Jokull.

"I'll hit him plenty," answered Tagmer.  "Crossfire or not."

"You sure sound confident of your victory," snickered Remgat.  "Your new form is rather nice, but I prefer this dragotaur body.  Feels more demonic, more evil, more me."

"I have to agree with you there," said Tagmer.  "But now I'm going to show you which of us is more powerful."

"I've been waiting an eternity to find that out myself," hissed Remgat.

Dillon closed his hands around Zane as he prepared to smash him flat between his palms.  As they were about to collide, they stopped short to connecting and as much as tried to crush Zane he couldn't.  "What's going on?" asked Dillon peeking in to see what was obstructing his hands.  His jaw dropped when he saw Zane holding his hands back with his own.  "No way!  How can you be even stronger than me?!?  The muscles in my little pinkie toes are even bigger than you are!"

"Quality over quantity," answered Zane.  "My muscles are supported by my aura and now that I'm a Lucario again my aura is back to full power.  No... it is even greater now!"  Focusing his aura into big bursts at his palms, Zane forced Dillon's arms as far apart as they could go and even then some.  Dillon howled in pain as his shoulders felt ready to snap.  "And now, I will release you from Obamon's control!"  Zane gently placed a paw onto Dillon's massive gut and pressed against it with his aura infused into his palm.  From that light touch, Dillon's stomach caved in instantly and his shell on the other side shattered to pieces.  In agony, Dillon collapsed to his feet.  Floating back a distance, Zane charged and Aura Sphere in his palms making it grow enormous before unleashing it.  It connected with Dillon and annihilated him, the darkness dissipating from him and reverting my back to his normal, fat, and derpy self.  Zane landed on the ground beside him to find him out could and his tongue hanging from his maw.

"Da'gya," he muttered weakly.

"Sorry I had to be a bit rough, but at least you are back to your old self," said Zane picking him up and then walking over to Snow who was still unconscious.  "Thanks for all your help, Snow.  You can rest a while longer, but I’ve still got some battles to fight."  Closing his eyes, Zane turned his head towards where Tagmer, Cyrus and all the others were just starting to battle.  "A lot more fighting has started over there.  It wouldn't be god to bring these two over there and I don't want to just leave Dillon and Snow alone in the shape they are in."  Focusing, he turned to face another direction.  "There is another fight over there.  It can't be... is that Krystal?  Why is she here?  I don't know why, but I have to get to her."  Taking a step forward, Zane stopped and gritted his teeth.  "No.  I can't.  As much as I want to see her, there are things that take top priority.  Hmm, Drag and another are over there.  They'll be safe over there for the time being.  Then I can go and help put an end to the fighting here.  After that, we can focus on getting out of here and taking the battle to Obamon."  Lifting off into the air, Zane flew Snow and Dillon towards Drag and Yure.

Rushing at one another, Tagmer and Remgat locked claws with one another attempted to overpower each other with brute strength.    The ground crumbled under their feet as they dug in for leverage, but just as one started to gain the upper hand, the other pushed back even harder.

"You are strong," cackled Remgat.  "You must have gained that from my influence."

"Nah," countered Tagmer.  "You get it from me."

"There's only one way to really determine that," commented Remgat.  "By winning."

"For once we agree," nodded Tagmer.

The two quickly unlocked claws and began exchanging punches striking one the other in the jaw, face, and shoulder.  They could both feel the pain as their bodies got battered and their fists smashed into scales as strong as steel.

Focusing his magic into his claws, Tagmer attacked Remgat at his abs.  In seconds, the muscle melted away into tons of lard that crashed to the ground.  It even affected the second stomach on his dragotaur body, fattening it into an anchor on the ground.

"Fattening magic," grunted Remgat.  He snorted and took a step forward into his next attack, punching Tagmer's maw and knocking out one of his teeth.  "I'm insulted you think a few tons would even slow me down a little."

"That wasn't my intention," spat Tagmer, his saliva full of blood.

"What are you going on about?" asked Remgat as he suddenly felt the same fattening sensation on his arms, legs, and everywhere else.  Staring at his hand he watched it swell with fat.  As he tried to clench it into a fist, the plumpness got in the way.  "So that's what you were aiming for.  You ba..."

Tagmer cut him off with a punch back in his now plumpening face.  "Your body is like punching a tank," admitted Tagmer.  "But with all that fat on you, you are just a big punching bag."  Snarling, beastly, Remgat punched Tagmer back, but he barely flinched.  "And as an added effect, your fists are becoming soft with flab.  All that strength of yours won't be half effective with all that cushioning on them.  Now get swallowed by obesity!"  Grabbing at Remgat, Tagmer began to overwhelm him with fattening magic, his body rounding out with more and more blubber.  His body swelled and swallowed his limb and soon after his head.  The ground beneath him crumbled underneath his mass.  "Wow, that couldn't have worked so well, could it?"

Beneath his fat folds, Remgat growled monstrously and grew larger, regaining his original shape as the fat was no longer overwhelming him.  "Hahah!" he bellowed.  "Laughable that you even considered trying something like that on me.  After all, I can use all the magic you are capable of including your growth magic."

"That's true," admitted Tagmer using growth magic to size up to Remgat.  "Looks like this will be a long battle then if we're so evenly matched."

"Hardly," retorted Remgat.  "I have all your powers, but the reverse is not true.  You don't have my dark magic."  Stating this, his dark aura raged like a wildfire, the sensation it gave off seeping right through Tagmer's scales.  "Still think this is even remotely even?"

Opening his maw, Tagmer rubbed a claw at the spot he lost a tooth feeling a new one already at work filling the gap.  "Considering all the others I aim to fight afterwards, I can only consider you just nothing more than a speed bump right now."

"You always did have a knack for pissing me off," snarled Remgat stampeding wildly at Tagmer.

"Need I ask what you two are doing in such ridiculous spandex?" asked Cyrus.

"These are our superhero outfits," answered Logan in his most heroic tone.  "I am the Golden Retriever and he is my sidekick, uh Fatty Wolf Dude."

"It's Wolf's Bane," corrected Bruce.  "And second, I am not your sidekick.  I am a villain turned hero in my own right."

"But who was the one who beat who and turned you good again?" asked Logan.

"You did," grumbled Bruce.

"And by the super hero bylaws you become my sidekick as stated in the Supernomicon chapter 12, page 16, and paragraph 2.  Now come on, Chowhound, we have a have a new foe to face."

"Wolf's Bane," snapped Bruce.  "Can't you at least get my name right?"

"No time for that," interrupted Logan.  "Battle awaits."

"I immediately regret choosing to fight you both," sighed Cyrus.  "I can tell this is going to be embarrassing."

"You take things too seriously," derped Logan.  "Come on, put on some tights and get into character."

"I was already planning to destroy you both, but now I'm overcome with a strange sensation, rage I think," explained Cyrus.  "Whatever it is, it is driving me to make your deaths as agonizingly painful as possible."

"See," snapped Bruce.  "We should have just gone as ourselves and not our super hero alter egos.  Now he’s pissed."  Logan didn't respond.  "Are you listening to me?  He is going to kill us and you acting derpy is not helping in the least."  Logan didn't respond.  "Stop ignoring me!"  Grabbing Logan, he yanked him aggressively, but found the dog before him was nothing more than a life-sized dummy.  "What?  A decoy?  But how did he... when did he do that?"

"Banzai!" derped Logan as he leaped out behind Cyrus, a large frying pan in hand ready to be smashed into Cyrus's head.

"I'm actually quite impressed," admitted Cyrus as one of his tails struck like a serpent snatching Logan in midair and binding him tightly.  "Your foolish behavior hides your rather cunning nature.  You caught me off guard for a moment.  I never expected you to deceive your own ally in order to deceive me as well, but in the end such tactics will never allow you to reach me.  You know why?"

"Because I haven't converted over to metric yet?" wheezed Logan.

"Playing the fool to the very end," commented Cyrus.  "Or maybe you are just an incomprehensible doofus.  Tough call."

"I think more likely it's the later," stated Bruce.

"That answer has relatively little value in the grand scheme of things," continued Cyrus whipping his tail out and sending Logan flying off like a missile, colliding into the ground a great distance away.  "He stood no chance against me.  I doubt you will fare any better, uh, Chow Hound was it?"

"Don't you start that, now, too," groaned Bruce.
