Downtown Ponyville, a bustling area with a mix of new time city work and old time village theme, contrasting differences that somehow made a pleasant mark on Equestria. Everypony had work to do, either in the shops or in the streets, many taking their job very seriously. None took their work more so than one Ditsy Hooves, Derpy to her close friends, one of the many mail carriers of Ponyville, and to some even the best. Yes, Derpy was always on time to the best of her abilities, a smile on her face and a sunny disposition so bright that almost nothing could dampen her spirits, whether from random rain to an unscheduled crash she took it all with stride. sure she was forgetful at times, embarrassingly more so than it should, but she never did let such things keep her down. And that moment in the tree was not different. she had been flying a little faster than normal, her mind wandering to what to bring Dinky home for dinner when out of the blue a young pegasus flies right towards her! The young filly seemed distracted herself, eyes closes and speeding. With barely a second to spare Derpy swerves a hard right, yelping as she flies into a tree!
The collision happened fast, the young mother shielding her face with her arms as branches snap, grab, and scratch. Thankfully, a pony's coat was quite resilient, even a pegasi coat could withstand simple twigs and branches. She stops once her legs catch onto a rather thick branch, holding her upside down, "Oh!" came the shocked gasp of Twilight Sparkle, "Derpy! A-are you alright?" she calls, rushing over to the mare. Derpy gives a big smile, happy to see a friendly face to help her out...that is until she felt a draft over most of her body, she had come out of the branches just fine, her clothes...not so much. With a blushing face she gives a with a thumbs up, "I-I'm OK!" she giggles bashfully.
And that's why you always keep an eye out on other fliers as well, cause sometimes there's crappy fliers!
