still makes me giggle how many games of this type this company put out <lots and lots!> and still had a unique awsome soundtrack for each

Yeah! Those were the times when videogame composers had their freedom to do what ever they wanted. And for some reason the 16 Bit age was imo the climax regarding that particular reason.
