Starlight glimmer was a brilliant sorceress, even in the days of sunshine and moon dancing her raw talent for magic was near unmatched by any other then a princess, so it was only fitting she was brought on as a consultant to many experiments in that age. With a child on the way, happily married to her childhood crush, what could possibly ruin it. During an experiment studying the light of the sun, darkness spread and shattered the once peaceful land. The light of the sun exploded in splendor toppling the building upon those inside. Starlight survived the endevour but was forever changed. why she wears robes and a mask covering her entire body no one is completely sure but rumors have it beneath it all her body now shines like the radiant dawn. Starlight through herself into trying to find answers to this new world and help keep a land falling apart at the seams together. But sacrifices had to be made at the good of the empire. Her marriage falling apart, a daughter she has barly even seen sense her birth, more betrayals and conflicts then any pony should ever have had to deal with. But then again everyone lost something on the day the world broke.
