Lazy was, as usual, enjoying a good nap, comfortably sleeping in his hammock. All around him, the othersmurfs were working hard to finish the building of a new mushroom home.
But Timber Smurf, who had been working hard for hours, was getting fed up with Lazy's laziness. And when he bent over the hammock to see how was Lazy, he noticed he was wearing the clothes he had been wearing 7 days ago. In other words, he had been sleeping for a whole week !
Angry, Timber shook the hammock, woke Lazy up and demanded he go back to work and take new clothes. At the end of the day, while everyone was going back home for dinner, Timber saw Lazy again. Finally, he had new clothes. But he was still in his hammock. Timber took him by the arm, and gave him a slap on his butt that made him jump out of his skin.
''A whole week ?! This time you really went too far with your inactivity !!", he screamed. "Do you realize how much hours of work we wouldn't have to spend if you worked like everyone, instead of sleeping in your hammock ? What about everyone doing the same ?!"
Lazy was so tired he hadn't even heard half the sentence.
"I'm really disappointed, and you gonna pay it right away, you brat !''
Lazy, who was still half-listening, didn't have the time to say a word. He was already getting layed over Timber's knees, and having his pant and underpants pulled down, when he realized what was coming to him.
''No...please, I'm sorry...", he yawned. "I didn't want to...''
It was in vain. Timber had already started to slap his bottom with all his anger. It fastly made Lazy burst into tears, for he had not been used to getting spanked since as long as he could remember. The spanking turned his burning bottom into deep purple. Tears rolled and Lazy's arms and legs started to move, as much as he could. His agitated state only encouraged Timber to spank him harder. Until the poor little bottom got so hot Timber himself would not even be able to touch it.
The smashes were going to prevent him from sitting down for ages. But at least, he wouldn't fall asleep so easily anymore !
Once the punishment over, Timber hitched up Lazy's pant and hugged him tight. Lazy was inconsolable, crying out loud and shaking a lot. It was so unusual to hear him scream like this. But finally, Timber's efforts proved worthy of all the time spent cuddling him. His sweet words and caresses got the better of his sorrow, and his tears were dried away.
It was late, and both were very tired.
''Now, I hope you'll learn your lesson, and at least try to get more involved in every day's works. Understood ?''
''Y...Yes. If I can forgive mys...'', muttered a shameful voice.
As he was about to cry again, Timber hugged him in anticipation.
''Nah, don't think about what I've said. I'm sure you will !", he murmured. "It's all over now, and I'm with you. Don't cry, I'll take care of you. Now, I think you should get (back) to bed for a good night sleep, shouldn't you ? This time, it IS well-deserved !”
But Lazy didn't answered, sill crying. Timber slowly took him to his hammock and started to rock him, while still kissing him on his neck and hugging him. Although Lazy was an adult, Timber was strong enough to take him in his arms, once the latter was alseep, and delicately enter his house. He layed him on his bed, covered him with his blanket and looked at him sleeping, with a delighted smile before closing the door.
"Sweet Dreams !", he wished.
