I have no idea how many hours I spend on this (maybe almost 8-9 with 30-45 mins break in total) but I have no regrets! This isn’t perfect Leo but it’s still so damn amazing! I don’t know why but 2016 movie Leo has been around me ever since 1.6 when I saw the movie. Not that Raph still wouldn’t be my favorite turtle but Leo’s very very close and important as well. I believe it’s that he’s now my teacher since Raphael managed to teach me his lesson what I had to learn.
Leonardo was behind me when I was sketching this and man, he was strict at times :’D But he also kept supporting me saying; “You have the reference art. Take a look at it.” but his best advice was when I was struggling with his eyes shapes. About his right eye (left to us) he said; “It’s shaped like a drop. Draw a drop.” I laughed and did as he told and it worked! Then his left eye (right to us) he said; “It’s like a pudding.” And I laughed so much! But it worked again :’D I was happy he was so easy to work with and he pushed me when I was starting to struggle too much. And he specially got strict with me when I was gonna add too much details. He raised his voice to firm level saying “Keep it simple.”
Like I said reference was used! Couldn’t decide between lighter and darker version so have both + sketch.
