Max, Emmy, and Enrique had only recently been turned into dragons, at their own request. While overjoyed at their new lives as dragons, they still had a fair bit of getting used to to do. Not only did they have to learn how to walk again, different body structures, heights, strengths, number of toes and whatnot, but also adjust to the sheer fact that they weren't human beings any more. Once the initial cloud-nine had worn off, the now-dragon kids went to process their new lives. But they were happy, excited, and hopeful. And yet, it was still new, deeply unfamiliar.

Since they were in dragon bodies now, the wise elder Quetzal felt they were plenty resilient enough for dragon games, and invited them to the Chamber of Laughter. They were told prior that they'd be overcome with laughter from the fun games played within, but not the specific details. It was always more fun as a surprise the first time after all. Quetzel led the three young dragons into a room that smelled of magic, a room that seemed no more than a small cave on the outside, but looked like a star-clad playroom on the inside, and the very air felt otherworldly, and even comforting to be in.

The elder dragon asked them to take a seat, which they did, in the three cushy beanbags by the wall. They felt like clouds almost, not crunching loudly like normal beanbags, but softly parting as their bodies slowly sank a short ways into them. But they were quite low to the ground, no way to lean back on them unless they laid down. But before they could even ask, a thick wooden structure appeared before them, materializing from a cloud. A large set of stocks with six holes in them. The upper bar raised on its own, and the three were asked to place their feet in the grooves, which they did. They no longer had footwear to remove, their old shoes no longer fit and dragons seemed to be more content with their feet free and bare anyway. They wiggled their feet curiously, testing the bonds after the upper bar closed down around their ankles. Emmy asked what was going to happen, sounding curious, eager, and yet uncertain. Quetzal replied with a calming "You'll see" as blindfolds ironically covered their eyes. And after the blindfolds, shackles appeared and clamped around their wrists, tugging their arms up above their heads.

The three dragons squirmed and wiggled, testing their restraints and getting slightly disconcerted at all this. All three asked collectively what was happening now. Quetzal smiled and giggled and waved his hand, apparently in control of the magic chamber, as a flotilla of feathers fell from the ceiling, glowing and floating still as they were level with the dragons' feet. Their questioning grunts and squeaks of apprehension soon turned to soft giggles as their faces formed smiles. The feathers had moved in and started brushing and stroking the kids' feet, lightly tickling the broad, soft surfaces, and sawing between their toes. The tickling was slow, yet constant. Mild, yet fairly intense. Odd as it may sound, the feathers touch felt familiar, enveloped in a loving magic, giving a feeling more like a friend's playful tickle rather than a tool of torture. More feathers well from the ceiling and made their way to the wiggling, shaking feet, as the laughter grew gradually louder and harder. Even that laughter was enchanted too at this point. While forced by the tickles, it had the jovial feeling in their tummies like laughter brought on by an amazing joke.

Quetzal smiled and giggled himself along with the little dragons. He watched their feet move as the army of feathers tickled them. Emmy seemed quite accepting, only wiggling her feet around and splaying her toes every bit and then. Max seemed a bit more animate, however, his feet wiggling faster and harder. It was distracting from the tickles, as his laughter was much softer than Emmy's. Quetzal gently clapped his hands once, and a thick, soft string materialized and wrapped itself around his inner toes, pulling them together and up. This kept Max's feet relatively still for the feathers, apart from his toes scrunching and unscrunching, wiggling more gently than his feet were. His laughter grew stronger and louder, and the overseer knew it was a good choice. He looked over at Enrique last, on the right side, and noticed right away how he was wiggling the hardest yipping and gritting his teeth through rapid giggles. he'd been clenching his toes so tight that the feathers sawing between them had frayed and frazzled, and his wiggling was taking to much away from the magical plumes going after his soles. He clapped his hands six times, and six strings appeared like before, winding around his toes and pulling them up and spreading them apart. Right away, Enrique started laughing much louder, feet still wiggling but only slightly as new feathers came down from the ceiling and sawed and stroked between them. He seemed to stop fighting as much after this, now shaking only a bit out of reflex as the feathers went to work at full potential on his immobilized soles and toes.

The enchanted chamber was quickly filled with the echoing laughter of three young dragons, thus living up to its namesake in full. They squirmed and giggled, chuckled and wiggled, filled with joy and overwhelmed with tickles where they sat. Who knew how long they'd be there having fun, but however long that may have been, they knew they had made a good choice. Their new lives in Dragon Land was right for them, and their uncertainties exited their bodies with their laughter. They were dragons now, and a whole new exciting life, filled with laughter and adventure, awaited them just outside.
