Have you looked up the latest drivers for your scanner? You might have to forcibly download them since Windows 10 apparently doesn't like downloading drivers by itself from what I hear...

No compatible drivers for windows 10 running in compatibility mode doesn't work either :v It IS a 10 years old scanner tho, so I'm not all that surprised (it worked on windows 7)
