One of the first things I made to try out Fruity Loops. For a while, I thought I just couldn't do any better. I was thinking "This is it. The pinnacle". I wrote it using an exercise to think outside of normal melodic constraints that I picked up from reading an article by Dr. Steven Siro Vai. In it, he said one can make their own key and thus scale and chords by just picking a fistful of notes and then using scalar chord building to end up with chords (so you'd still have a chord with a root note, a third, and a fifth but it wouldn't be according to diatonic knowledge).
And Away I go, hamming it up with what little I knew about "hardstyle", which was essentially the name and it uses a kick drum :/ I was more than pleased with the result so it stayed in the vault because it was going to be my final music post.
Now I know I can do better, or at least as good. I also now know that the final version is actually just A major with an accidental flat 2nd thrown in occasionally.
