The two have a close friendship but to the others they believe its more closer then they ever know. Their were moment where the two gotten closer to each other but the situation has gotten awkward since their both different species and they it hasn't cross their minds.
In Marc's head he does think she is beautiful, he may not say but has friends know when he looks at her.
