The DC Superhero Metamprpho was not composed of flesh,blood & bone. If hit hard enough. he'd shatter, and it took an electric current to stick the pieces back together. Also turning into nitroglycerin -and detonating- was almost fatal.
Turning into an A-bomb WAS fatal, and he had to be resurrected from his scrambled atoms. The whole scene totally was too much to suspend disbelief.
