As children, Splinter tried to school them and give them a normal education, but as they got older one of them shone brighter than the others.
Donnie soon outgrew what his father could teach him and sort out new things to learn from what ever he could find. As the years went on he learnt to find and study exam papers and text books from a local school, which he used to teach his brothers as well as help his father.
Leo was the leader when it came to martial arts, but Donnie would always be their smart school teacher.
