Rouge The Bat

Was trying to draw Rouge closer to her official size. While the head is the same, the body is changed a bit more to my style of proportions. Also threw in an old-ish image of SHADE to show off the heights between most of my OCs, a human shaped figure, and most Sonic characters heights.

The chart was taken from somewhere on google.

You know, a long time ago I tried to figure out how tall a modern Sonic character would be based on the assumption of CLASSIC Sonic being about 3'6" and that he was properly in scale with modern Sonic on the promotional artwork for Generations, and based on that modern Sonic should be roughly 4'10." Unless of course they retconned classic Sonic to be even shorter, but I hate retcons like that and it would make classic Sonic barely 2'7". The funny thing is by my math Shade is almost perfectly sized to be a modern Sonic character.

oh god the age thing! When the first game came out Sonic was said to be 16, then with Sonic Heroes they changed it to 15 for some reason, since he had a birthday in Generations we can say he's officially 16 again, but then Classic Sonic was from a couple years ago all of a sudden? Narratives where time doesn't actually pass can be SO confusing, like the Simpsons or other long running cartoons. In the Archie comic time HAS been allowed to pass, at one point his age was stated as 14 and by now (or at least before the super genesis wave) he would have been around 19 or so.

Lovely to see how tall S.H.A.D.E. happens to be, she's a great height to get her missions done easier! I mean the smaller you are, the more effort into a good dash or striking someone, etc! Lovely comparison.
