Character Description
Meaty is an old adventurer. He's from a time when people's problems were solved with violence and he hasn't really adapted to modern culture. He has a strong belief in honor and has a strict moral code. Those who do evil deeds run the risk of having to face him. Meaty is a giant and towers above all other characters in the game. His strength is high and his temper is short. Underneath it all he's a sweet and loving guy and good with kids. People might run a mile if they see him coming but the people around town know him well enough to know he's not an immediate threat. He's not too bright but cross him and there will be hell to pay. For quests involving combat he's extremely useful but otherwise he's only really good at feats of strength. He can be a bit boastful and if you get him talking about his adventurer days he'll never stop but he's hardly egotistical or vain. You can find him in the local supermarket stacking shelves and he's head over heels in love with Bacon Cell, the registrar at the Sunnyview Hotel.
Personality
Meaty is a generally nice guy who has a kind heart and can be sweet sometimes. He can also have a temper but he's learned to control it well and now just grumbles instead of acting out. Meaty is in love with Bacon Cell and he hopes to settle down and have a family. Meaty has a strong code of honor but not necessarily a law abiding attitude. He likes to boast sometimes especially if you get him talking about his adventurer days. He's more of a calm and slow moving type but he's capable of excessive hard work even for his size. He likes to apply his skills in a practical manner since he's not really bright enough to do anything too mentally taxing. He has old ideas of how to deal with most situations and doesn't understand modern society very well. However he's very accepting of different people's lifestyles as long as they don't harm anyone. Those people who cause harm to someone run the risk of having to confront Meaty and he's more of a crush them to death then ask questions kinda guy
Likes/Dislikes
likes being able to apply his skills, seeing bad guys get what they deserve, helping those in need and being with his girlfriend, dislikes people who try to trick him, people who make fun of him, dishonorable people and criminals
Background/History
Meaty is an adventurer. He learned at an early age that he was taller and stronger than the other kids and no bullies told him what to do. He grew up pretty arrogant in his younger years but he never let it turn him bad. You see he had a strong belief in honor which he learned from his parents. He grew up in the time of the Sollun War and did his part defending South Island from invading Solist forces rather than taking the fight to them. Meaty fought on the side of the Gen Forces during the Meka-Urga war which some of his fellow countrymen might consider to be traitorous since his people have a long Urgan ancestry. Between wars and up til today Meaty has been a wandering hero especially around South Island. Unlike a lot of heroes he worked for bed and board rather than money and there are a few people dotted around South Island that might remember him. However Meaty is now retired from hero work and has a stable job as a clerk in the local supermarket. He's a bit of a fish out of water but he just wants to do his part for society even though he's a bit bitter about having to work there.
Relatives/Family
Meatfist's family live in Monsterville but they live to the south and that's not anywhere near Olrit. Sometimes they visit and it can be an opportunity to learn more about him but you'll have to make sure not to miss them as it will be a long time until they visit again.
World/Setting
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.
