Character Description
Lock is a lovable little kid with his heart set on adventure and a level of knowledge that could be necessary to do it. He's very mature for his age and can understand some deep concepts or simply lend an ear to those who are troubled but he may still be a bit too young just yet to know what to do. He likes to be helpful but sometimes he may be a little out of his depth and being a child might simply get distracted and forget his responsibilities sometimes. Often seen with a smile on his face he likes to make people happy but like most kids he can be prone to bouts of anger or tears. He's already learned an impressive array of magic abilities for a child and can hold his own in a fight just about. He loves his adoptive mom Petal Dicota but he still misses his real family who went missing a few years ago and he still remembers everything about. He knows a lot about the books in his store and can find you a book on anything as long as they have it. He also knows a few details from within the books for quick reference but his knowledge on the more obscure topics is a bit sketchy.
Personality
Lock is a typical kid. He's adorable and cute and generally happy and energetic. He can be prone to tantrums and bouts of tears but ultimately his heart is in the right place. He works hard and he has a good memory. He gets scared by real danger but he likes the idea of adventure. Lock can be surprisingly mature if the time calls for it and he can be very responsible for a child even if it doesn't take much to distract him. He understands honor and morals on a deep level for a child but he may be too young to follow the rules exactly as required. He likes all his friends to be happy and can be quite understanding of people's problems even if he's a bit too young to be equipped with the social tools to know how to deal with the situation. However sometimes he can surprise you and have a simple and childish solution to a problem that actually hits the mark exactly on the head of what is needed at that moment. He'll go far when he's older for sure if he lives long enough to get there.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes lending an ear to people's problems, helping out, books, adventure and honeycomb, dislikes people being upset, being in a scary situation, not having any customers and being a bother to people.
Background/History
Lock's family foolishly went on an expedition to explore the forest and went missing. Lock was put into adoption and was adopted by Petal Dicota. Since then Lock has helped Petal run the Dicota bookstore. There's not much else to say.

World/Setting
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.

Lock has a black exoskeleton with yellow eyes, a yellow mouth, yellow feelers and a yellow abdomen.

Lock wears a yellow beret, gloves, boots, t-shirt and shorts.

Lock carries a mage staff he calls Sting that made of a piece of Japanese knot weed with a yellow shaft and black head.
