Hay guys,
So I finally tried out inking using my new light-pad.
What I did was use masking tape to tape down the papers to the light-pad, which actually ended up being a bad idea.
When drawing, I need to be able to move my paper around and rotate it sometimes up to 180*, and because I taped it to the pad, I wound up having to move the pad around as much as I could, and move around in my seat, twisting my back in order to get the angles I needed.
Also, after I was done inking, I discovered that the masking tape I was using is too sticky, and ripped some of the top layer of the paper.
In the future, I am going to try using Painter's Tape, which is a blue masking tape designed for house painters, that has a low glue level to prevent paint peeling when used on walls. Because it has a less sticky glue on it, it would be much less likely to tear the paper.
Also, instead of taping the papers to the light-pad, I will try taping the two papers together instead, which will then allow me to move the drawing around on the pad, but still keep the two papers aligned.
