Easter is actually a holiday with no set date, at least in the US. Sometimes it's in April, sometimes it's in March. Basically, it falls on "the Sunday after the first full moon of Spring." So if a full moon happens right before spring, you won't have Easter until late April. I don't know why we can't just pick a date, if that's how it works in other countries, but that's how it's worked here for a long time... *shrugs*
