In the medical unit of the town’s leader I float in a bacta tank with a breathing mask over my mouth, I was out cold as the fluid I was in healed the wound that used to be where my arm used to be. My friends waited in the room with me and my droids were very worried about me, but the medical droid said I would be fine, after a whole day in the tank I was woken up by the medical droid and I groaned softly. “Wha...where am I? Did I win?” I asked softly as I looked around in the tank, then I saw what was left of my shoulder, then SF walked up to the tank. “You won the fight kid, how ever your opponent was so enraged by his first loss he cut your arm off, you then passed out from the shock.” I shook my head a little as it was all coming back, I looked through the becta fluid at the medical droid, through the thick slime was making my vision all blurry.
“Most of your small wounds have fully healed how ever your arm is too badly damaged to be reattached and we lack the proper equipment to fabricate a mechanical replacement, how ever my master told me to give you coordinates to a planet with proper medical technologies for a replacement limb.” Says the med droid and I nod as I understood the muffled speech. “Tell your master in very grateful for his kindness, and have the shopkeeper ready my new ship and my money, and bring the caged creature to me please.” The droid nods and I was pulled from the tank gently and had the goop washed off me, then I got new clothes and came out to see the caged creature waiting for me. “Can someone break the lock and bring her some food please.” Shira bites the lock off and opened the cage as the small blue dragon whimpered and shook from fear and exhaustion. I kneel down and smiled at the little one.
“It's ok little one, you’re free now.” I smiled and held my hand out slowly, palm up and I hold still, looking at her and smiling, trying not to appear threatening to her as she smelled my hand timidly, I smile and softly rubbed her chin with a finger and slowly rubbed her head, seeing her actually lean into the petting. “There you go, I won’t hurt you.” I say softly and every one stands back as I gently coax her out of her cage, gently picking her up with my good arm and holding her. “There, much better.” I smiled and held her like a child, Henry looks at her and smiled, she just hides her face in my neck. “Aww it’s ok, they're friends of mine.” The medical droid gave the coordinates to jumbo and I smiled, hold her and smiled. “Thanks, um can we get some food before we go?” The med droid shakes its head and I shrug, he then gave me the saber I used in battle. “This is a gift from my master, he did not tell me why he wanted to give you his most cherished treasure.”
I look at it and smiled. “Thanks but he can keep it, but tell him I'm honored he’d give me such a gift, but I’d like to make my own just like how a jedi did long ago.” The droid just looked at me as I mentioned the jedi and though a moment before speaking again. “Very well sir, no one has ever turned down a gift from my master before.” I take the crystal and hold onto it. “Well i'm not ungrateful for the gesture, I'm honored he would give me such a gift, I just feel it would be more fun to make my own from scratch. Now if it’s ok with you I’d like to get my money and my ship now.” And with that we head to the scrap yard where the shopkeeper was having droid pile the money into my ship’s cargo hold, I also had jumbo bring my speeder bike. He turned to me and grumbled. “Hey, I beat your thug fair and square, he’s the one that broke the rules.” Jumbo rolled into the ship and looked around, I went into the upper deck and saw the very roomy interior. “Very nice, now then she needs a name, and I know the perfect one, the angel of miracles.” I say and gently sat my new friend down on a bench as my friends came in with what little belongings they had. ”Welcome aboard gang.” I say to my friends and smile.
“Thank you again for allowing us to go with you tony, I hope we can find a better life.” Says Sf and I nod, then jumbo’s head pops up in the middle of a tale and he beeps and looks around. I smiled and went to the cockpit with him. “Yeah, now let’s start this angel up and get off this planet.” I say and looked at the controls and they were pretty simple to understand, I then started the engines up and the ship slowly lifts into the air and I slowly get her up into the air and off into space, SF being my copilot and having to operate half of my control’s till I get my new arm. And once I set the controls to the coordinates to the medical station I find the warp controls and we speed up faster and faster and the read outs showed us going 3 times light speed, or warp 3. I take a break and talked with jumbo, taking out my phone and showing him a movie from my planet, but then I get him to try accessing my phone remotely and he was able to access the wifi signal and downloaded everything on it into his system and translated it into a code he could use then projected the movie as a hologram, it being pacific rim, saber came over and looked at the video.
“What is this sir?” He asks and I smiled. “It's called a movie, people make movies to entertain others, this one is called pacific rim, a story about giant monsters coming to take over our planet and we build giant robots to stop them, and no this isn’t real, it's a fake story, how ever there are a few movies based on real events.” Jumbo asks me how the robots worked and why they need two pilots. “Well jumbo the way I understand it is operating a robot that big on your own is rather dangerous, as they didn't have a lot of time to make the tech or perfect it, one pilot can only control the unit for a short time before the neural strain killed them, two pilots distribute the load between them, keeping it at safe levels, the drift links two living minds together allowing them to more fluidly control the robot and to act as one, there are several models of what are called Jagger's, the one shown here is called gypsy danger, now I won’t spoil the details of the movie but in short it's monsters vs robots, robots win...say, can you study the design on gypsy dangers arms jumbo? Plan out how they work and make them a design for a prosthetic?” He says he can. “Awesome, do it, and put a hidden compartment in both arms to hide a light saber, and make plans for both just in case.”
He does so and watches all the scenes gypsy danger shows up and studied her arms. “Oh and keep out the arm blade, won't need that but keep the plasma cannon, maybe add a large pop out saw in place of the sword.” He modifies the design to work with components commonly available and tweaks the look slightly to make the design work and look good. “Sir will having an arm with built in weapons be necessary?” Saber asks and I nod. “Yep, in this galaxy one can never be too careful, there could be thugs all over just waiting to kill you for a quick keshle. Having weapons always on hand is always useful.” I looked over the design and nod. “Perfect, hold onto the plans big guy, saber mind making every one some dinner while I get little hael cleaned up?” I say and picked up my little pet. “Hael sir?” Saber tilts his head in a confused way. “My little dragon friend here.” I say and kissed her head making her blush. “Th….thank you master for the name.”
I looked at her and blinked. “Holy shit you can talk? cool, and you're very welcome sweetie, now let's go get you a bath and a nice warm meal shall we?” I say and take her to the bathroom and get a nice warm bath going for her, I gently help her in and smiled as I take a hand full of water and run it over her and washed her with a rag, watching her sky blue and white scales get brighter and the dirt washes away. Smiling as she helps get some spots for me and I keep gently washing her, she blushing softly as I did. I then finished and dried her off gently, rubbing over her body with a towel and giving her head a soft kiss. “There you go sweetie, feel better?” I say and she nods. “Y...yes master...I feel much better...but why are you being so nice to me?” She asks me softly and i smiled and rubbed her back. “Because your an innocent creature, and on my planet creatures like you get a lot of kindness and respect, on my planet it’s actually illegal to abuse animals, feral or not. Plus you really need some kindness in your life so i'm more than happy to give it to you hael.” i say and softly rubbed her ‘ears’ and she purred loudly and pushed into my hand.
I giggled and lead her to the ship’s small kitchen and I had saber cook a simple but very filling meal for her, taking one of the food rations to make bread for her and I give her a plate and some water as saber puts the food down and I sit by her. “Well? eat up sweetie, you need to get your strength back, now while you eat I’ll be working on my new arm with jumbo.” She just digs in and eats, I smile and worked on my arm design, adding some flip out tools where they would fit. Once I was happy with the design I had jumbo save it and I got ready for bed, taking my shirt off and getting under the covers and got comfy, I then saw hael waddle in with a full belly and laying on the floor in the corner, I looked at her and sat up. “Hey Hael, why not sleep on the bed with me instead of the floor?” I asked her and she just looked at me. “B..because animals like me don't get to be comfy.” I get up and gently pick her up and bring her over to the bunk bed with me. “Wrong, you may not be like me but that doesn't mean you get any less respect, and because your a sentient life form means you get the same rights as me. You’ve been treated so badly before but you have a chance to be happy now, you have a name, a wonderful home, and a new family.”
I rubbed her back softly and smiled at her. “Now sleep sweetie, you’ve earned it.” I snuggled with her and pulled the covers over us and I closed my eyes, she just smiled and snuggled close to me, tears rolling down her face. When i wake up I found her with her head resting on my neck, and heard her purring softly as I smiled and rubbed her back lovingly. Hearing her purr a bit more as she wakes up and stretched like a sleepy dog and yawned with a little squeak that made me giggle. “Hey there sweetie, sleep well?” I gently sit up and she murred and nods. “Yes master...I did...first time in...ever really.” I smiled and sit there and rubbed her belly gently. “That’s great to hear, but you don't need to call me master, you can still be my pet but on my planet pets are often seen as one's children, so if you want you can call me dad, up to you though, now let’s go get some breakfast shall we?”
I smiled and got up and slipped a clean shirt on and headed to the kitchen for some breakfast, saber was there cooking everyone a nice filling meal and despite the odd colored food it smelled wonderful. How ever as we eat the whole ship shook as fighters flew by and kept shooting at us, luckily the thick hull took the shots easily but the larger ship that supported them actually did some damage. “SIR! we're being attacked!” Everyone else scrambles about as sf and shira get in the cockpit to try and avoid the ship’s shots and i scrambled to try and find the weapons. “SABER FIND THE GUNS!” he looked at the controls with me till we found them and they popped out of the two tines on the front of the ship and fired at the other. “Why are they shooting at us?!” I say as we try to disable them, then I saw the mark of the shop on the hull and I just blinked. “That filthy cheater, open a channel.” Saber calls them and he answers, laughing as he talked. “He said he was very surprised you actually won the battle, how ever I would like my stuff back.” I just keep shooting. “I WON FAIR AND SQUARE! all this stuff is mine now and you can't take it.” The toydarian just laughs and his ship keeps shooting till I land a lucky shot to his engines “JUMBO GET US OUT OF HERE!” Jumbo makes the ship jump to warp again and we vanished from sensors, I sigh and sat there and wait for the trip to be over. “Stupid jerk.”
Jumbo tells me we were a few hours from the medical station and he set a course for one of the docking bays. “Good, tell them we would like to land and why we are here please.” I smiled and started eating my food with everyone, having hael in my lap and feeding her. Jumbo flies the ship as sf and shira pilot and help guide the ship in, I stood in the back with Henry and hael on my shoulder as we fly into the giant hexagonal station, once we land and the hanger droids came out to check my ship over and we all get out. “You can wait here in the ship if you want, jumbo saber you're with me. Henry can you babysit hael for a bit?” I asked him and he nods. “Sure tony, I’d be happy to.” I gently let him take her off me and she looks at me. “Don't worry sweetie I’ll be right back with a new arm.” I kissed her head and head into the station with jumbo and saber. I head to the front desk and I smiled at the worker there who was a hutt of all people. “What the? A hutt doctor? But I thought they were all gangsters, oh uh no offence uh...ma’am?” I say as I questioned myself.
“kaa tanea paknee ata, um tee tytung yih doth bacaka da, paupe see ten douaph cuee yaumace naee hee tee woceuea, jee douaph bai doth wa sapkaha joppay jee doth rin kiuke bai mah cokha baa bamhaw koi.” She says and smiled a bit, she was also...thinner than most huts and actually had some feminine features, saber translates for me and i chuckled. “I see, well i'm here to have a new prosthetic arm attached, my astromech here has the plans for a custom model.” He plugs into the desk and showed her the design and she looks it over. “mmmm. juju wa koutecmue satasna um jeejee caiot woy fa, fa nah doth koupohe um Jee hatkocanh neu whao meecooda tee hey wa kouciukoee unihaka bai yoieu bu che copah joniu che uba.” She said and starts working on the computer for the available parts as saber translates. “she said “It's a complex design but we can do it, it won't be cheap but i'll see if I can't pull a few strings to get the price down for you.” I blinked and chuckled. “Hehehe another surprise, any other hut i meet would have robbed me blind for a food pack, this is a very welcome change, and again sorry for the stereotype.” She just chuckles and finished the order and send it to the fabrication plant.
I then go to the waiting room with my droids and i watched a movie with jumbo projecting it, it being one of my fave shows that i collected, the original transformers, after waiting for about 2 hours one of the medical droids came over to me. “Sir, the doctor will see you now, we're sorry for the long wait.” Said the droid as I get up. “Oh its ok, I knew it would be a while before the new limb was ready.” I smiled and followed the droid to the operating room and I did what the droids said and took my shirt off and they put me under and they got to work.
