Character Description
Personality
Tray is a slow-paced, fairly easy going individual if a bit of a lazy and tactless know-it-all but he has a subtle and surprisingly effective skill at social manipulation. However saying that he is in general rather socially awkward, which he uses to his advantage, though most of that stems from being completely out of his depth from living in Meddia for the past 2 years, which is generally isolated from the rest of the world. Despite being with Dolly, the only person Tray seems to truly care about is Hartwig Barlow, the child Tray babysits whilst waiting for his steady job. However Tray is keen to flirt with pretty much anyone in Diegoltun as long as Dolly doesn't catch him doing it.
Likes/Dislikes
Tray has a passion for namaelogy, the study of names. He often can't wait to show off his knowledge much to the dismay of others. Tray is fairly easy going and has few things that really annoy him or rather when something does annoy him he'd rather bite his tongue. He prefers to act with subtlety rather than let on how he feels. It can be difficult to tell what he likes and hates.
Background/History
Atreyu spend the first 21 years of his life in Diegoltun City however following an embarrassing incident involving Popcorn that hit the local Newspaper his Family moved to Meddia to stay there indefinitely. During his time in Meddia Tray became an accomplished Smith however he also whole-heartedly adopted the Meddian way of life. Now Diegoltun is not much more than a distant memory, though after all the renevations The Town has had in the last year it's doubtful anyone would recognise it now. On hearing a rumor that Copper Tail had set up shop in Diegoltun, Copper being the number one apprentice of Chuck Woodley, the world famous master Smith, Tray had to see for himself whether the rumors were true and left Meddia for his old Hometown. Upon arriving Tray is met by Dolores Manning, his steady girlfriend 2 years ago, who still lives in Diegoltun City. She's got a ten year plan for the two of them and wont take no for an answer. She reveals that she has acquired a years stay for two at Cobalttan Lodge and has already put in a good word for Tray with Copper Tail. Also, while waiting to get the job Dolly gets Tray a part-time job as a babysitter for The Barlow Family. However she chooses to use all this help she's giving as leverage to get back together with Tray, which he's totally okay with anyway.
Relatives/Family
Dolores Manning is Tray's steady girlfriend, she's a bit obsessed with him and bosses him around a lot though Tray is so easy going he lets her. Besides, Tray can often get what he wants from Dolly by outwitting her or playing to her superiority complex. Isabella Samson is Tray's mother and the origins of his feline half, like Dolly with Tray she often pushes Tray's dad Thomas, the origins of Tray's canine half, around as he's a bit of a cowardly individual.
World/Setting
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.
Body
Tray has pale grey fur with pink paw pads and inside his ears and mouth. He has blue eyes and a blue tip to his tail which is dyed on to accent his eyes. Tray has whiskers, a short canine mussel, pointy ears and a thin fox-like tail.
Clothing
Tray is often barefoot and wears a pair of tough blue gloves he uses for smithing. He wears black slacks and a black T-shirt with a white skull logo on the front. When working he often wears an apron and a welding visor.
Accessories
Tray acquires a metal mage staff in the shape of rose flower and stem known as the Rose of Thorns later in the game. This is his iconic weapon.
