My first pic for the Month of Lurve 2016. Up first is my all time favorite ship, Appledash. It's a pairing that just stuck with me since season 1. However it's been one ship that has been looked at in so many different ways. I've spoken with others, gotten several head cannon views, and dived head first into Appledash ship fics. I've read through stories that seem to always have Rainbow Dash be the one to come to Applejack with confessions of love, the brash pegasus having to sort out her feels one way or another. To me this does makes the most sense as I've come to enjoy Dash's insecurities and how they manifest. Coming out to Applejack has been done in a number of comical and heartwarming ways. However there is one story that sort of stands out for me and has stood up to the test of time despite it being considered "incomplete." The story in question is "My Dream Mare." This being a story that more or less has Applejack force the confession out of Rainbow. It's a take on the ship that I found very appropriate for the two. I won't go into details, but the situation I found very well written.
Now on the the pic at hand. Part of my headcannon has Rainbow coming out to AJ, but I've always figured AJ to be the one to begin any cuddling or saucy activities. Catching Dash by surprise for a kiss or a hug seems always leave Rainbow stunned and reeling sometimes.
