After drawing a similar idea in chibi form, I felt I could do it a bit better justice in a more detail style, so I was happy to get this done. To make him a gay little Sylveon was my idea, since I love the girly little pokemon and want to draw more of them.

It was less weird when it was just happiness. That's a holdover from older games, where lots of things you do in the game lead to the happiness score. It's very different from the affection, which entirely depends on the lil touch-screen minigame.
A bit strange, but there's logic to it at least.
