To be fair, the whole incest-deformities thing is mostly played out as a joke. In reality, the first few generations are probably safe. It's only with generations of inbreeding that the closed gene pool begins to have an effect on the children.

I may come off as buzzkill or mr. Know-it-all, but these kinds of deformed babies will not occur immediately-in fact, in most cases the child will be fine, but deformities will show up further down the family inbreeding line (offspring of an incestuous couple having sex with it's relative/ sibling, then their own offspring doing the same etc.). Best example of this would be to look at the family trees of some ancient royal families in Europe, mostly France and England.
