Background/History
Story: She grew up within a small town with very strict rules. If you wanted to do anything it had to be accepted by the village elders who where very quick to say no if it was different from "tradition". Because of this the town was very dull in appearance and action. When a pony got their cutie mark and it didn't fit with what the town needed they were given to options. To leave forever or wear a fake cutie mark chosen by the elders. After years and years of this with the lack of options to explore, many ponies no longer got their cutie marks as they grew older. They would receive fake marks taped to their flank and told to do that job for the rest of their lives. No longer wanting to watch the ponies around her drown in misery she left to find help. When she returned she and her new friends painted the town that night to grab everyone attention in the morning. When everyone awoke there were mixed feelings about the changes. The elders where furious and tried to ban her forever using force. She fought back and told the villagers all the wonderful things she saw in her travels. She showed off her cutie mark which she only received because the left the village. Her friends also showed off their marks and told stories about their own lives and what could be waiting for them. She wanted them all the understand how important it is for each pony to express who they really are and not be afraid to go after their dreams. In glee they tore of their fake marks a vowed to never stifle a ponies potential ever again, overthrowing the elders. At that moment her cutie mark glowed and she levitated off the ground. Magic surrounded her and a horn grew from her head. Her mane absorbed magic from her cutie mark permanently changing its color. She was now a princess.
She is not all powerful by any means, in fact her magic isn’t very strong. But her new found princess-hood gets ponies to take a moment to stop and listen. She uses her magic to help those lost within themselves. To open up and not be afraid to express oneself.
