Received a request from Samantha Moonfur about a week ago of a portrait of her character with her dragoness. Here's some flavor description I was given to work with:
"Samantha received her own dragon at the age of fourteen, having been paired with her during a first stage graduation. Named Sapphire, the dragon was moderately sized and was as black as they came. The first thing one might notice about the dragoness, was that she was heterochromatic with one brilliant blue eye and another shimmering in gold. The eyes of her parents were golden, and so it was the blue eye that gave her the name. Samantha quickly learned that Sapphire was a close-combat specialist with a protective and loving heart. Virtuous as she was, the dragon had much to teach the young Samantha. The two quickly formed a mother-daughter bond, and from there Samantha began to quickly learn just how naive she had been. This realization propelled her through school, kept her focused and open to learning new things, all the while staying true to who she was. Within years, she graduated with her friends, all of them receiving honors for their skills. Soon, they would be departing for their first official missions, and with that came the light of a new day."
I think it came out pretty nice. First time drawing dragons too. What do you think?
