Whelp, I finally managed to stop by the art supply store in the city today, and I got two new sketchbooks, two mini sketchbooks (for on the fly doodles and TV doodles) a tin of 24 colored pencils, a new pencil sharpener, and some eraser-stick refills. (maybe I'll take a picture of it all and upload it if you guys want to see it).

Anyway, I was eager to draw in my new mini sketchbook (4"x6" pages), but I didn't want to just draw another pony (I've been drawing ponies too much) And so I decided to try something new!

I know Equestria Girls is still technically My Little Pony, however the point is that she's not actually a pony, and instead is a human, which I have NEVER drawn before (well, not since high school anyway).

I of coarse referenced an image of EG Rainbow in a very similar pose (I just changed the position of her arms and hands) and I must say... I suck at drawing humans! ^^;

I really need to step out of my artist comfort zone, and practice on things I don't often draw if I want to improve at all as an artist! (Of coarse, this does NOT mean that I'm going to stop drawing ponies, I freakin' LOVE ponies! I just want to branch out a bit more)

I think I shall try attaining some 'How to Draw' books so I can try expanding my sills in art, and to help me learn to draw some things I struggle with, such as humans.
