Only Me is a parody of the famous song Only You written by Vince Clarke and performed originally by the group Yazoo, and made even more popular by the vocal group Flying Pickets. This version is based on the Flying Pickets' cover, but written with a small chamber orchestra ensemble consisting of Flute, Oboe, English horn, Clarinet, Bassoon, Violin, Viola, Cello and Contrabass... and a Guitar. Myrr's voice(s) are done by me with some heavy post-processing.
Myrr is my little vixen character who dearly wants to be a famous bard, but never quite seems to get there. In Only Me, Myrr wants to participate in a Battle of the Bards kind of event, but alas, prejudiced judges deny her the chance to participate. She comes back with an improvised "human disguise" (can you spot the McGyver theme in the orchestra?) but alas, she gets excited and a wagging tail ruins everything.
There are two versions of the song, one with a spoken interlude when Myrr narrates McGyvering her disguise, and one with just the music while she does so.
