I remember the first time I ever completed a paid commission. I was in tears; not because it was bad or that the commissioner hated it but because they loved it and gave me money for it, something I created by putting pen-to-paper. To think that someone would like my work enough to pay for it and be satisified to see it - it's a wonderful feeling.
I tell you this, reader, not because I'm surfing for likes on my work or some such; I tell you because it's a brilliant feeling and one thats brought me closer to feeling like an actual artist and not a hobbiest. To see and know that my work is enjoyed by someone, to have a satisfied customer.
It's rather brilliant.
