"The little fox named Rex is plucked from his home world by a mysterious spaceship and transported to the arcane world of Edernia, where he meets Aven, an enigmatic biomorph with a flying saucer." - Google Books
It's based on a series of graphic novels by Michel Gagné who has been a base for many of our childhoods.
If you didn't already know (and I didn't until yesterday) he has worked on films such as An American Tail, The Land Before Time, All Dogs Go to Heaven, The Swan Princess, Space Jam, The Iron Giant, Scooby Doo, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Ratatouille, Horton Hears a Who, and more recently Brave.
He studied classical animation at at Sheridan College and worked for Sullivan Bluth Studios for six years.
While working for Bluth, Gagné worked on his own short film, Prelude to Eden, which was nominated for an Annie Award in 1996.
Seriously, I cannot imagine what my childhood would have been like if he hadn't been a part of it, and heck he's likely a part of yours.
I cannot wait to see where The Saga of Rex ends up.
